The Indian driver who got the opportunity to test with MP Motorsport on the first day of running, he then ran with Campos Racing for the other two days and acclimatised himself well in the GP3/16.
There were some driver changes on the final days running with GP3 race winner David Beckmann re-joined ART Grand Prix as Marcus Armstrong drove with Trident after a previous run with Charouz Racing System.
Lirim Zendeli moved back to Charouz as Sebastian Fernandez went back to Campos Racing after testing in Formula 2 on Day 2. Lastly, Dutchman Bent Viscaal was seen with MP Motorsport while Estonia's Juri Vips came in to test for Trident.
It appeared long-runs were the focus of the days running on the Yas Marina circuit for all of the teams, behind Daruvala it was Honda's latest junior driver, Yuki Tsunoda running with Jenzer Motorsport in the test and next season in Formula 3 claimed the second fastest time of the day ahead of Logan Sargeant for Trident.
2016 French Formula 4 champion Ye Yifei clocked the fourth fastest time for MP Motorsport ahead of Australian driver Oscar Piastri in the Jenzer.
Lorenzo Colombo and Fernandez followed in close behind with times barely a hundredth apart from each other.
2018 Euro F3 title challenger Marcus Armstrong ended the day seventh fastest, just pipping Trident testing team-mate Devlin DeFrancesco and Alex Peroni led Viscaal to round out the top 10.
Vips improved quickly on his only day of running going nearly a second faster in the afternoon session against his fastest time from the morning.
There will be no more GP3 action with Formula 3 assuming the slot on the Formula 1 support bill. Formula 3 will be testing the new F3/19 chassis over the course of the winter period ahead of testing in February.
