Following speculation about the confirmation of a German team in the inaugural season of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY, the entry of Viessmann Jaguar I-ACE eTROPHY Team Germany has been announced.
Alongside confirming its entry for the series that will support Formula E for the 2018/19 season, the team also announced Célia Martin as one of its drivers.
Martin, who acted as the test driver for the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, views her opportunity to compete in the I-PACE eTROPHY as the first major jump of her career:
"I'm an ambitious person and I want to prove that as a rookie I have the potential to be in the top group," she said.
"The I-PACE eTROPHY is a completely new series, a world first. It fascinates me to work on it."
Former Formula 1 driver and Jaguar Driving Academy head Christian Danner will lead the team as sport director while Martin will be aided by television presenter Andrea Kaiser who will act as a personal coach to the driver.
Martin attended both pre-season test events at Silverstone Circuit and Rockingham Motor Speedway ahead of the start of the all-new championship that will commence on December 15.
More entries to the single-make electric production car series are expected to follow in the coming weeks.
