Antonio Felix da Costa rekindled his form from the second day of pre-season testing at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit to top the timesheets in the penultimate session of the week for BMW i Andretti Motorsport.
Setting a 1m 28.870s lap in wet conditions, da Costa led the session from DS Techeetah's Jean-Eric Vergne who was the second fastest, 0.388s behind the Portuguese racer while Mahindra Racing's Pascal Wehrlein completed the top three.
Da Costa's team-mate, Alexander Sims, secured the fourth fastest time of the session, 0.697s off the pace and 0.048s away from breaking inside the top three. Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler's Lucas di Grassi completed the top five.
Following di Grassi in sixth fastest was Envision Virgin Racing's Sam Bird who headed Nissan e.dams' Sebastien Buemi who ended the session in seventh, 1.102s off the pace.
Felipe Massa was the highest placed Venturi driver with the eighth fastest time while Maximilian Gunther of Geox Dragon was ninth. Andre Lotterer completed the top 10 in the second DS Techeetah machine.
Daniel Juncadella, who stands in for an Austin-bound Stoffel Vandoorne, was 11th fastest for HWA Racelab while Jose Maria Lopez was 12th fastest.
Nelson Piquet Jr fronted a Panasonic Jaguar Racing 13-14, 2.108s adrift of da Costa while Oliver Rowland, who has replaced Alexander Albon at Nissan e.dams in pre-season testing, was 15th.
Tom Dillmann was 16th fastest in the lead NIO and was followed by Oliver Turvey, Gary Paffett, Jerome d'Ambrosio, Daniel Abt, Edoardo Mortara and Robin Frijns who rounded out the field.
