Ahead of the inaugural season of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY, a provisional calendar has been released which confirms that the support series for the ABB FIA Formula E Championship will consist of 10 rounds.

While the calendar is still awaiting approval by the FIA World Motorsport Council, the season is set to commence on December 15 in Ad Diriyah in Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the first race of the 2018/19 Formula E season.

Skipping the second and third rounds of the Season Five Formula E calendar, the series will then race in Mexico City on February 16 followed by races in Hong Kong and Sanya, China, which is a new addition to this season's calendar.

The Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY is set to appear at four of Formula E's five European races which will commence in Rome on April 13 before heading to Paris, Monaco and Berlin.

Following recent concerns over the 2019 Zurich E-Prix, the Formula E support series is set to not race on Swiss soil in its maiden season.

The season will come to a close with a double-header round in New York City on July 13 and 14, 2019.

“Seeing Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY racecars line up on the grid in December will be a proud and historic moment for Jaguar, and spectators can expect plenty of action from the races," said Marion Barnaby, Championship Manager of the all-new electric production car series.

"As we travel to some of the world’s most exciting cities we’ll be bringing a new kind of electric street racing to the public and inspiring the next generation of electric vehicle owners.”

The I-PACE eTROPHY car made its public on-track debut at the 2018 Berlin E-Prix with Formula E's CEO and Founder Alejandro Agag behind the wheel.

So far, the championship has confirmed two drivers, with former Formula E driver Katherine Legge partnering IMSA driver Bryan Sellers at Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing while further entrants will be announced in due course.

Races in the championship will be 25 minutes long plus one lap and will follow practice and qualifying sessions in the build-up to each 45 minute long E-Prix.

Each race will also feature a VIP entrant.

The series' first test is scheduled to take place at Silverstone Circuit from September 24-27.
