Marc VDS rider Franco Morbidelli has been declared fit to take part in this weekend's MotoGP German Grand Prix after suffering a fractured hand during practice for the Dutch TT.
Morbidelli crashed going through the fast left-hand kink at the Ruskenhoek during third practice for the Dutch TT at Assen two weeks ago.
The Italian was taken to the circuit medical centre for checks, which revealed he had suffered a fracture to the third metacarpal on his left hand.
Morbidelli was forced to miss the remainder of the Dutch weekend, and would undergo further checks at the Sachsenring on Thursday afternoon to assess his condition.
Confirming on its official Twitter page, Marc VDS has confirmed Morbidelli was passed fit by circuit medical staff.
Morbidelli currently sits 16th in the world championship standings on 19 points, two ahead of fellow MotoGP rookie Hafizh Syahrin on the Tech 3 Yamaha.
The Marc VDS team has endured a period of internal turmoil since the Spanish Grand Prix, with team manager Michael Bartholemy ousted from the team following the French Grand Prix weekend.
It is highly expected that the Belgian outfit will withdraw from the premier class at the end of this year, focusing its efforts on its Moto2 team, which currently fields Suzuki-bound Joan Mir and Alex Marquez.
Morbidelli did have a two-year deal in place with Marc VDS, but now looks set to join the Sepang International Circuit team-run Petronas Yamaha outfit.
Outgoing Honda man Dani Pedrosa has been linked to the satellite Yamaha squad also, but is thought to also be considering retirement. An announcement on his future will be made at 1600 local time on Thursday.
