Alex Tai will step down as team principal and CEO of DS Virgin Racing to "focus on his other business activities" according to the British marque.
Tai, who has been part of the DS Virgin squad since Formula E's inaugural 2014/15 season, will remain at the team in an advisory role for the remainder of the all-electric single seater series' present campaign.
With the departure of Tai, Sylvain Filippi, the team's former chief technology officer, will become the outfit's chief operations officer where he will run the team for the rest of Season Four.
"DS Virgin Racing today announces that Alex Tai is stepping down as team principal and CEO to focus on his other business activities," read a statement from the outfit who currently sit in third place in the Teams' Championship.
"A new team principal will be announced before the start of season five. In the meantime, Sylvain Filippi, has been promoted to chief operations officer, and will oversee both the racing activities and day-to-day operations of the business.
"Alex will remain as an advisor to the team until the end of the season.
"DS Virgin Racing would like to thank Alex as one of the founders of the team for his work in guiding it through four seasons culminating in the many track successes we have achieved in that time. We wish him well with his future endeavours."
Formula E returns this weekend for the inaugural Zurich E-Prix and the tenth round of Season Four.
