Pirelli has confirmed its tyre selections for the British Grand Prix in July, which will see the first appearance of the ice blue-banded Hard tyre this season.
As well as the Hard compound, the while-walled Medium and yellow-walled Soft tyre will also be available.
As per the rules, each driver must save one set of the softest of the three nominated compounds for Q3, in this case the Soft. This set will then be returned to Pirelli for those who qualify in the top ten, but the remaining drivers will keep it for the race should they wish to use it.
Each driver must have at least one set of the Hard and Medium available for the race, but are free to choose the remaining ten sets, making 13 sets in total for the weekend.
The British GP will be the third race on the calendar to feature a reduced tread depth along with Spain and France. Pirelli made this decision with the FIA after concerns the resurfaced tracks could cause severe overheating and therefore increased blistering.
