Sergio Sette Camara has been stripped of his podium finish in Formula 2’s Sprint Race at the Baku City Circuit.
The Carlin driver led for much of the race but was demoted late on by ART’s George Russell, though had enough in hand to secure second position.
Sette Camara stopped on the cool-down lap and stewards deemed that his Carlin-run F2/18 did not have the sufficient fuel sample as required by the regulations.
As a result, he has been excluded, promoting Nyck de Vries into second and Nicholas Latifi third.
Sette Camara had reduced team-mate Lando Norris’ title advantage to a solitary point, but the McLaren-backed youngster now heads the standings by 14 points.
