Jenzer Motorsport has completed its 2018 GP3 line-up after confirming David Beckmann as team-mate to Tatiana Calderon and Juan Manuel Correa.
Beckmann, 17, spent the last two years in European Formula 3, taking two podium finishes, but will move across to GP3 for the upcoming campaign.
Beckmann will get behind the wheel of the GP3/16, next to Calderon and Correa, when pre-season testing begins at Paul Ricard on Wednesday.
“To compete in the 2018 GP3 Series is an important step for me and doing so with Jenzer Motorsport is definitely the best choice,” he said.
“The official tests in Abu Dhabi last December showed that we can work very well together and that the chemistry with Andreas Jenzer and his technical staff is just right.
“It will be a demanding season with tough competition and in a very competitive environment, as the events will be held together with the FIA Formula 2 in the support program of Formula 1.”
