British youngster Ben Hingeley will graduate to the European Formula 3 Championship this season with Hitech.
Hingeley finished third in last year’s BRDC British F3 series, taking four wins, and sampled GP3 machinery during the post-season test in Abu Dhabi.
Hingeley, 20, will now switch to European F3 with Hitech, joining Enaam Ahmed and Alex Palou at the operation.
“I’m really excited to racing with Hitech GP this year in FIA F3,” he said.
“Hitech is an exceptionally professional team in the way it works and operates and I’m really delighted to be working with them this year!”
Team Principal Oliver Oakes added: “We are really happy to welcome Ben to the team; he was a worthy adversary with Enaam in British F3.
“His recent GP3 tests in Abu Dhabi and the recent tests with us in F3 were very impressive and made us confident in him making the step up to FIA F3 for 2018.”
