Racing Team Nederland has added Dutch ex-Formula 1 driver Giedo van der Garde to its 2018-19 World Endurance Championship entry.
The 32-year-old will co-drive the team's Dallara P217-Gibson in the LMP2 category with team owner Frits van Eerd, and one other unconfirmed driver.
Van der Garde, who made 19 Grand Prix starts with Caterham in 2013, won the 2016 European Le Mans title as a sportscar rookie with Jota Sport, but was left without a full-time drive the following season.
This year will mark his debut full-season campaign in the WEC, which will also feature his second appearance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
"I am very happy that Racing Team Netherland and Frits have given me this great opportunity," said Van der Garde.
"The ambitions of the team appeal to me enormously and I would like to be part of it. The World Championship is super competitive and the 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the most beautiful races in the world. It will be very special to be at the start again."
Van Eerd added: "I am very pleased that Giedo will drive for us. He is fast, experienced and very motivated."

The Racing Team Nederland squad is stepping up to the WEC this season having finished 11th on its debut in the European Le Mans Series last year.
So far, supermarket magnate Van Eerd is the only non-ORECA entrant to commit to the championship, which is set to release its official entry list on February 9th.
