The podium finishers in Abu Dhabi have expressed their view on Formula 1's new logo, which was unvilved during the podium ceremony on Sunday.
The consensus amongst the three drivers is that they prefer the old logo, which has been in use since 1993, and it has history attached to it and therefore didn't need changing.
"I kind of liked the old one. I only saw it [the new logo] very quickly…but what's wrong with the old one? I thought it was quite cool," commented race winner Valtteri Bottas.
Vettel added: "Just say you don’t like the new one!" in response to the Finn, before adding his own view: "I like the old one better."
Hamilton says it would be unthinkable for a big, well established brand to change their logo for no reason and therefore F1 should have stuck with what it had built its brand and reputation on.
"The problem is logos… I think the one that we already had was an iconic logo I think. Just imagine Ferrari changing their logo, or Mercedes changed their logo. I don’t think the new one is as iconic but maybe it will grow on us."
