Formula 2 championship leader Charles Leclerc will drive for Ferrari at the post-Hungarian Grand Prix in-season test next month.
The Monegasque driver joined Ferrari’s Driver Academy at the start of last year, before taking the GP3 title with ART Grand Prix.
During the season, he also tested for Ferrari and completed several first practice runs for the Haas F1 team.
This season, he is racing in F2 and has dominated so far, with six consecutive pole position and five victories – giving him a 67-point lead after six rounds.
He confirmed on Twitter that he will be completing one day of running for the Ferrari F1 team at the Hungaroring test, which takes place from August 1-2.

Leclerc will be at the wheel of Ferrari’s 2017 car, the SF70-H. The team has yet to announce who will drive on the second day.
Ferrari’s reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi – who had an FP1 outing with Haas at Silverstone – and championship leader Sebastian Vettel shared running at the first in-season test in Bahrain.
