Silverstone has confirmed its timetable for the British Grand Prix weekend, with track action to take place across four days, from July 13 to 16.
European events typically feature three days of running over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but practice sessions for Formula 2 and GP3 will take place on Thursday afternoon, rather than Friday.
The revised schedule for the support events will also result in GP3 qualifying shifting from Saturday morning to Friday afternoon, immediately following the corresponding Formula 2 session.
In addition, a Formula 2 Drivers’ Parade will take place for the first time on Saturday lunchtime.
There will also be a parade to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Williams and Renault teams in Formula 1.
Formula 1’s schedule has not been altered, with the 52-lap race set to begin at 13:00 local time on Sunday 16 July.
