For once, the motor racing world's attention was almost universally focussed on one event this weekend, the 85th edition of the 24 Heures du Mans or just "Le Mans" as it is known by every motorsport fan on the planet.
Despite heading into this year's events as pre-race favourites, Toyota still didn't manage to pull of the one win that they really want. Daniel Lloyd and James Moy were at the Circuit de la Sarthe to see how it all played out and how very nearly there was a modern David and Goliath moment.
Oh course, the DTM boys decided that they wouldn't play nice with the ACO and their twice-around-the-clock event as they headed off for the Hungaroring near Budapest for round three of the German tin top series. Just as there were surprises at Le Mans, there were also some in Hungary. Phil Horton has the full story for you.
