Ferrari factory GT driver James Calado topped the timesheets during practice for round two of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup at Silverstone.
Calado clocked a time of 2:00.322s behind the wheel of the Kaspersky Motorsport 488 Italia, edging out Philipp Eng's BMW M6 by just 0.005 seconds.
Calado is set to share the Kaspersky car with Giancarlo Fisichella and Marco Cioci during Sunday afternoon's three-hour contest.
Third and fourth quickest were Mercedes AMG-GT3 drivers Maximilian Buhk (+0.104s) and Daniel Juncadella (+0.160s).
The top four times were all set during Saturday afternoon's one-hour session, which was red flagged two minutes from the end when Oliver Morley stopped his Mercedes on track at the International Pit Straight.
The Saturday morning run was paced by the Pro-Am class Aston Martin Vantage GT3 driven by Jonny Adam, who turned in a time of 2:00.510s.
That put the Aston Martin factory driver fifth overall at the end of both sessions, marginally ahead of the Pro-Am Mercedes entered by AKKA ASP.
The BGTS Endurance Cup-leading Lamborghini Huracan of Christian Engelhart, Andrea Caldarelli and Mirko Bortolotti finished ninth quickest in the 55-car field.
Qualifying for the 3 Hours of Silverstone takes place tomorrow (Sunday, May 14th) at 09:45, with the race set to get underway at 14:55 (both times local).
