Everyone was predicting a Ferrari red-wash yesterday when the lights went out at the Sochi Autodrom for the 2017 Russian Grand Prix. Imagine the tifosi's consternation when their heroes were passed in the first few corners by the Silver Arrow of Valtteri Bottas who took charge of the race and claimed his maiden F1 victory. Joe Saward and Phil Horton tell the story of the race.
While there was joy for Bottas, there were only tears of despair for young Elfyn Evans in Argentina, who had led the rally from day one until the final stage, losing by just by 0.7s. Jezza Williams explains how it all came down to a bridge too far for Elfyn.
We also have the Verizon IndyCars from Phoenix and the first column from our new WEC paddock insider, Aston Martin Racing's Technical Director Dan Sayers. He gives readers a full debrief on the recent 6hrs of Silverstone and how the team's three Vantage GTE's fared!
