Ferrari factory GT ace Davide Rigon led the second of two 90-minute free practice sessions ahead of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup opening round at Monza.
Rigon, who this year shares an SMP Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 with Viktor Shaitar and DTM expat Miguel Molina, turned in a time of 1:48.381s to head the Saturday afternoon run.
The Italian narrowly edged out Steven Kane, who for much of the session held the top spot with the #7 works Bentley Continental GT3.
Kane's effort settled the Bentley 0.011 seconds off the overall pace, with Alessandro Pier Guidi making it two Ferrari factory stars in the top three behind the wheel of the Spirit of Race/AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3.
Completing the top five was the best-placed Audi R8 LMS entered by WRT, followed by the Orange Team Lazarus Lamborghini Huracan GT3.
Heading up the Pro/Am category charts was Audi works driver Christopher Haase in the Sainteloc Racing R8 LMS. The German's time of1:48.736s placed him seventh overall at the close of play.
As in the morning run, the field was closely bunched with the top 28 cars lapping to within a second of Rigon's marker.
However, unlike the red-flag affected morning run the second Monza free practice session passed without a major stoppage, although a few cars did pick up damage in separate incidents.
The yellow flags were brought out early on when Niek Hommerson slid backwards into the gravel at Parabolica, whilst Kevin Ceccon damaged the Zakspeed Mercedes AMG-GT3 when he hit the barriers at Ascari.
Qualifying for the Monza 3 Hours takes place tomorrow morning at 09:50.
The race itself gets underway later on at 14:45 (both times local).
