Marc Marquez secured his fourth victory of the 2016 MotoGP season as he fought his way to the win in Aragon.
Despite starting from pole position, it wasn't a straight path to the checkered flag for the championship leader, who almost fell on lap three as he dropped back to fifth, forcing Marquez to make some impressive passes to regain the lead.
Marquez enjoyed a battle with Suzuki’s Maverick Vinales and Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo during the opening laps as the lead changed hands before Marquez lost control of the front-end of his bike at the corkscrew section, although he kept it on track, he fell back to fifth, giving the lead to Vinales.
A fight back to the front ensued and it wasn't until just 12 laps remained that Marquez finally retook the top spot with a pass on title rival Valentino Rossi.
Rossi couldn't hang in during the final laps, losing out to team-mate Lorenzo, but keeping his bike ahead of Vinales as they completed the top four riders.
In fifth was Cal Crutchlow who dived up the inside of Dani Pedrosa with seven laps remaining to claim the position, forcing Pedrosa to settle for sixth ahead of Pol Espargaro (Yamaha Tech 3) and the Aprilias of Alvaro Bautista and Stefan Bradl to complete the top ten.
Pramac Ducati's Scott Redding crashed out at Turn 12 after making contact with team-mate Danilo Petrucci, who later received a ride-through penalty for the clash.
Tito Rabat also fell, whilst his stand-in team-mate Nicky Hayden secured the final point with P15.
