Aston Martin Racing has announced a number of changes to its driver line-up for the remainder of the FIA World Endurance Championship season.
The rearrangement of its GTE-Pro line-ups will come into force from the next round of the series at the Nurburgring.
Darren Turner will move over to join Richie Stanaway at the No.97 Aston Martin entry, while the Danish pairing of Nicki Thiim and Marco Sorensen will remain at the wheel of the No.95 car.
Aston Martin is switching from a three to a two-driver line-up after the Le Mans 24 Hours, like several other GTE-Pro teams.
Jonny Adam and Fernando Rees raced with Stanaway in the No.97 and are not scheduled to take part in any more WEC rounds, but they do remain with the team.
"With the second half of the season due to begin, we have had to consider what is best for the team,” said team boss Paul Howarth.
“With a focused driver line-up, this should help give us the best possible chance of success this year. I hope that Nicki, Marco, Darren and Richie will continue to push hard and keep us at the top of the GT manufacturers table.
"I'd like to thank Fernando and Jonny for their efforts this year, particularly on their sterling job at Le Mans.
“They have each put in fantastic performances and we look forward to continuing to work with them in our wider Aston Martin Racing activities.”
