The Trident GP3 team has confirmed Antonio Fuoco, Artur Janosz, Giuliano Alesi and Sandy Stuvik for the 2016 season.
The Italian outfit finished as runner-up in last year’s teams’ championship with six wins, taking Luca Ghiotto to second place in the drivers’ standings.
Trident will field three drivers with previous GP3 experience this year, alongside one rookie. Fuoco finished fifth in the FIA European Formula 3 Championship in 2014 before making the move up to GP3 with Carlin last year, scoring two podiums and placing sixth.
Polish racer Janosz is the only driver from the team’s 2015 line-up to be retained and is looking to build on the flashes of speed shown in his rookie season in the series, where he scored points on six occasions.
Stuvik drove for Status Grand Prix last season but suffered a mixed campaign, finishing 17th in the championship with two appearances in the top 10. The three drivers will be joined by rookie Giuliano Alesi.
His father Jean raced in Formula 1 between 1989 and 2001. Giuliano finished fourth in French Formula 4 in 2015 and completed post-season GP3 testing at the end of the year. He has now been confirmed at Trident for 2016.
"We will be fielding four drivers that can score great results this season," said Maurizio Salvadori, Trident team principal.
"I am extremely satisfied to announce our full line-up so early as it will enable us to anticipate and improve our preparation.
"The goal is to remain at the top of the GP3 Series in both the driver and the team standings."
