Nico Rosberg remained quickest during second practice, though his session ended early when a high-speed tyre failure sent him spinning toward the barriers.

Key Points from FP2:

– Rosberg’s 1:49.385 kept him ahead of team-mate Lewis Hamilton, who remained three-tenths off the lead pace.

– The German suffered a tyre failure at top speed, pitching him into a spin. He came to a stop just before the barriers, leaving his car relatively undamaged.

– A second red flag was caused just minutes later when Marcus Ericsson lost control of the rear of his Sauber, though he wasn’t as lucky as Rosberg and made heavy contact with the tyre wall.

– Red Bull continued its strong form, with Daniel Ricciardo third and team-mate Daniil Kvyat fourth fastest ahead of Kimi Raikkonen’s Ferrari.
