Lotus have confirmed that their 2015 car, the E23, has passed all mandatory FIA crash tests ahead of its expected track debut on February 1st.

Lotus teased its Twitter followers with a sneaky photo of the new chassis and confirmed it had passed the tests, allowing Romain Grosjean to undergo a seat fitting.

The team are hoping the new Mercedes-powered car will propel them back to the front of thr grid after a disappointing season last year.

Sauber, McLaren and Toro Rosso have also confirmed their 2015 cars have passed the tests.
