The FIA has confirmed that six teams will take part in Pirelli’s December tyre test aimed at collecting data for its new 2014 compounds.
The test, using 2013 cars, is allowed under an immediate regulation change implemented by the FIA during a meeting on Monday in Paris.
As per the regulations, all 11 teams have been invited to partake, but only six have accepted the invitation: Red Bull Racing, Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, Force India and Toro Rosso.
The three-day test will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit between the 17th and 19th December.
