Felipe Massa will leave Ferrari at the end of the season and took the time in Brazil to discuss his career highs and lows so far.
He singled out two moments that he considers his worst during his time at Ferrari and understandably one of those is his life-threatening crash.
“I think the toughest moment… it was definitely the accident, [it] was not a great moment,” he said.
In 2009 the Brazilian was struck by a loose part from Rubens Barrichello’s Brawn GP in Hungary. He was knocked unconscious and crashed out of qualifying.
“And maybe the race in Hockenheim, 2010,” he added, in reference to orders from the pit wall asking him to allow Fernando Alonso past to take victory.
Surprisingly he didn’t include the moment he lost out on the drivers’ championship by a single point, but rather included it in his happiest moments.
“I would say the happiest moment was the first time I won in Brazil, 2006. I think that was definitely the best moment for me.
“It was a very special moment not just that time but even 2008 was a special moment,” he added. “I won the race here, I was on pole, quickest lap. We lost the championship not here in Brazil, before.”
