Jenson Button’s co-owned sports management company, The Sports Partnership, has signed young driver Stoffel Vandoorne.
The 21-year-old driver is definitely one to watch and that’s not only been recognised by McLaren – who signed the Belgian to its young driver programme – but also Button.
The Sports Partnership represents a number of drivers including Paul di Resta and David Coulthard, as well as Button himself.
Vandoorne is the current Formula Renault 2.0 champion and sits first in the Formula Renault 3.5 championship, three points ahead of McLaren’s Kevin Magnussen – who tested for the team on Wednesday at Silverstone – and ahead of other well-known up and coming rookies such as Antonio Felix da Costa, Will Stevens and Sauber’s recent signing, Sergey Sirotkin.
