Sebastian Vettel showed everyone how it was done on the final day of the young driver/tyre test at Silverstone on Friday. The German set the fastest time behind the wheel of the RB9.
His 1:32.894, the fastest over the three days, was enough to put him four tenths quicker than Adrian Sutil who made the most of the day, posting 99 laps.
Sutil was one of two drivers in the Force India. Young driver James Calado was behind the wheel again and eventually finished 15th quickest.
Nicolas Post was third fastest for Lotus, whilst Red Bull junior Carlos Sainz was in fourth ahead of Ferrari’s Davide Rigon.
Susie Wolff made her debut at an official test session and went ninth quickest for Williams, completing 89 laps.
