Sebastian Vettel will start the Monaco Grand Prix from pole position after securing his fifth P1 of 2011, his first in Monaco.
Jenson Button will start ahead of Mark Webber in P2 and P3 respectively, whilst Fernando Alonso will be fourth.
Michael Schumacher secured his best grid spot of the year in fifth, ahead of Felipe Massa, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
Pastor Maldonado outqualified his team-mate by a handful of places and starts ninth ahead of Sergio Perez – though the Mexican will likely not compete on Sunday after a horrifying accident.
The final session, Q3, was halted for a lengthly period of time after Perez hit the barrier at the swimming pool chicane, the session restarted with two minutes remaining, hindering several drivers strategy, particularly Hamilton.
