Renault’s Robert Kubica ended the first pre-season test as the quickest driver over the three days, finishing with a 1:13.144.
That put the striking black and gold car ahead of Force India’s Adrian Sutil in the 2010 chassis, with Jenson Button in the MP4-25 just behind.
Mark Webber was the second placed 2011 car, almost eight tenths behind the Pole.
Ferrari’s Felipe Massa had a troubling day when an oil leak curbed his running at lunchtime, however the F150 was back up and running in the afternoon, allowing him to jump into fifth.
Virgin’s Timo Glock was just behind after focussing on longer runs in the 1:17’s before a late afternoon burst put him in sixth, ahead of Pastor Maldonado, Sergio Perez, Michael Schumacher and Sebastien Buemi.
Jarno Trulli couldn’t manage a timed lap after a power steering issue on Wednesday left the team without the necessary spares to allow him to push, instead he opted for 38 installation laps.
