Rubens Barrichello has been awarded £75,000 ($118,000) in damages from Google, after the Brazilian was mocked on their social network, Orkut.
The judge ordered Google Brasil to pay the Williams driver, after the company failed to remove the offensive profiles in a timely manner, despite having been notified by Barrichello himself.
The original complaint was lodged in 2006, with the court suggesting damages could reach in the region of £320,000 ($500,000).
