Sam Bird was third for Jaguar, while Dan Ticktum was in a surprise fourth for Nio 333. Pascal Wehrlein took fifth for Porsche, with his teammate Andre Lotterer just behind.

Race 1 winner Mitch Evans was seventh for Jaguar, while Vergne’s teammate and fellow champion Antonio Felix da Costa set the eighth quickest time.
