United Autosports set the fastest time in the fourth and final session for the FIA World Endurance Championship Prologue at Sebring, although the car ended the session in the wall thus causing a red flag.
Filipe Albuquerque posted a 1m 48.439s in the #22 ORECA 07-Gibson to lead Alpine Hypercar driver Andre Negrao by 0.178s, with Team WRT’s Robin Frijns third overall and Louis Deletraz fourth for Prema.
Albuquerque’s team-mate Phil Hanson, however, ended the session by causing a red flag after going off-track and hitting the barrier at turn 17.
Another significant incident occured for the #56 Team Project 1 Porsche 911 RSR-19, which suffered substantial damage as a result of a crash for Brendan Iribe, reportedly after contact with one of the Toyota GR010 Hybrids.
Both Toyotas ended the final session behind the #708 Glickenhaus 007 LMH driven by Ryan Briscoe.
Corvette snapped Porsche’s streak of three consecutive sessions thanks to a time of 1m 56.476s set by Nick Tandy behind the wheel of the #64 Corvette C8.R. Tandy led Porsche’s Gianmaria Bruni and Michael Christensen.
Harry Tincknell ensured that the #88 Dempsey-Proton Porsche remained at the top of the leaderboards in GTE Am after team-mate Seb Priaulx had previously led the morning session.
The experienced Briton posted a 1m 57.787s, slightly slower than the time his young co-driver had set earlier. He led Team Project 1’s Matteo Cairoli and AF Corse’s Toni Vilander.
