Porsche has taken a dominant one-two in qualifying for the Six Hours of Bahrain, significantly outqualifying rivals Ferrari.
Kevin Estre led the way for the German manufacturer, posting a 01:56:144 in the #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19 to take the top spot.
The Frenchman outqualified team-mate Gianmaria Bruni in the #91 Porsche by just 0.034s.
The margin between Porsche and Ferrari was significantly greater. The Italian team, slowed by a pre-event Balance of Performance adjustment, were well of the pace of their rivals.
Miguel Molina, third in the #52 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, was 1.183s slower than Estre, while team-mate Alessandro Pier Guidi was almost 1,5 seconds slower.
Mastronardi leads GTE Am
Rino Mastronardi put the #60 Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 GTE Evo on pole position in GTE Am.
The Italian posted a series of rapid laps and ended on a 01:58:867, enough to beat NorthWest AMR’s Paul Dalla Lana to pole by well over half a second.
Egidio Perfetti was third in the #56 Team Project 1 Porsche 911 RSR-19, with Roberto Lacorte fourth in the #47 Cetilar Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.
Thomas Flohr, who briefly held the top spot in the session, eventually rounded out the top five in the #54 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo
