Marco Wittmann has taken pole position for the Sunday DTM race at the Red Bull Ring.
Wittmann put his BMW M6 GT3 on pole for the second race of the weekend with a 1:27.892, just 0.026 ahead of race 1 winner Liam Lawson for Red Bull AF Corse.
Sheldon van der Linde qualified third, with Maximillian Götz in fourth. Philip Ellis will start sixth, with teammate Lucas Auer alongside him. Championship leader Kelvin van der Linde is seventh, while Vincent Abril lines up alongside him in eighth.
Alex Albon, who won his first DTM race at the Nurburgring last round, will start ninth. Alongside him will be Arjun Maini, the first Indian driver to score points in DTM. Timo Glock will start 11th in one of his best qualifying performances of the year, while Nico Müller could only manage 12th.
Maximilian Buhk put his car 13th, with another Maximillian, Maximilian Paul, who made his DTM race debut in race 1 yesterday, alongside him in 14th.
Daniel Juncadella will start 15th, with DTM veteran Mike Rockenfeller in 16th. Esteban Muth will start 17th, with Esmee Hawkey 18th. Rounding out the back row of the grid will be Sophia Flörsch and Dev Gore in 20th.
