Ferrari-backed Arthur Leclerc converted reverse-grid pole into the Race 2 victory at Paul Ricard in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.

The younger brother of Formula 1 driver Charles, he bagged his first points of the season following some unfortunate luck, beating Dennis Hauger over the line to make it a PREMA one-two finish.

“I am really happy, it was a great race and really special to win in front of both F1 and my family and friends as well. It was a really special win, especially because this is so close to my home,” said Leclerc.

“I didn’t expect this at all this morning when I was starting from P30, but we did it and I am really happy about today.”

Alpine Academy driver Victor Martins was third, also collecting the points for the fastest lap.

Fourth was Olli Caldwell ahead of Jack Doohan, Clement Novalak and Race 1 winner Alex Smolyar in seventh.

The top 10 was completed by Calan Williams, Ayumu Iwasa and Frederik Vesti.

Going into the final race of the French Grand Prix weekend, Hauger and Martins tie on points at the top with the Norwegian ahead on countback.

Race 3 begins on Sunday morning at 11:40 track time.
