Toyota and Alpine have both been given additional weight ahead of the 8 Hours of Portimao, the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The pair of Toyota GR010 Hybrids have gained the biggest amount of weight, receiving an additional 26 kilograms, bringing it up to a total of 1066 kilograms versus the 1040 kilograms it ran at the season-opening Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

The ORECA-built Alpine A480-Gibson, meanwhile, has been given 22 additional kilograms, boosting the minimum weight from 930 to 952 kilograms.

In addition to the weight bonus, both cars have also seen their maximum stint energy and power output decreased.

Toyota will now have 962 megajoules available, two less than in Spa, and the maximum power output has been brought back from 520 kW (697 hp) to 515 kW (690 hp)

Alpine will be running with 918 megajoules per stint and a maximum power output of 450 kW (603 hp) as opposed to the 454 kW (608 hp) it was running at Spa.

The Glickenhaus 007 LMH has been the lowest possible minimum weight for a Hypercar at 1030 kilograms. It will run at 965 megajoules of maximum stint energy, while its twin-turbo V8 engine produces 520 kW (697 hp).

The GTE Pro field, consisting of Ferrari and Porsche, have had no changes made compared to Spa.

In GTE Am, meanwhile, the top three cars from the opening round at Spa have received Success Ballast. The top three in the previous two races of the current season and the top three in the championship standings received extra weight at 15, 10 and 5 kilograms respectively.

Since the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo won the opening round and leads the championship, it will run 30 kilograms heavier at Portimao.

The #33 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage AMR, second in Spa, has received an extra 20 kilograms, while the #47 Cetilar Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo runs 10 kilograms heavier following its third-place finish in the opening round.
