Arrow McLaren SP has revealed a modified papaya and blue livery for its pair of cars for the 2021 IndyCar season.

The design takes heavy cues from last year’s popular design, but updates it to include more prominent Vuse and Arrow branding for the team’s second year in the series.

Last year, the team included extra blue highlights on the front wing to differentiate the two cars, but this year that has been expanded to include a completely blue sidepod as well as blue front and rear wings on Felix Rosenqvist’s car.

Pato O’Ward’s machine will keep the sidepod and wings in all black, which will help fans and participants alike identify the driver from a distance.

“I think both cars look amazing,” said Rosenqvist.  “Obviously, my one looks the best.  I really like how they kept it clean, but now you can separate the two cars.

“I think that’s something that the fans asked for and it’s also easier for our spotters.  Just to relate to a specific car, I think that’s great.”

More photos of the cars in action will be available when the team completes the remainder of its preseason testing in the coming weeks at Laguna Seca and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Following that, the first race of the 2021 NTT IndyCar season will take place at Barber Motorsports Park on April 18.
