The Rolex 24 at Daytona often produces good racing but with all the gloom of the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event was right off the Richter Scale when it came to racing. Not for a long time has the outcome of the race been so closely contested by not two but five challengers, each one with a genuine chance to win… Davey Euwema, Kevin Dejewski and Phil Oakley stayed up to watch the race and report on it for you.

Elsewhere, in the magazine this week, we have some great features from the likes of our technical guru Rosario Giuliana who dissects McLaren’s challenges in changing their power unit. Then Rallies Editor Jerry Williams asks why they actually bothered running last weekend’s Rallye Monte Carlo. He really didn’t enjoy watching an event that was most unlike any run before…

Back in the USA, Amanda Vincent has part one of her annual predictions for the NASCAR Cup Series and they are “interesting” to say the least. And finally Phil Horton looks back at the start of the current F1 hybrid era and just how things have changed in seven years…
