United Autosports has fallen down the order and risk losing their LMP2 winning streak after receiving a penalty for an incident at pit entry.

Filipe Albuquerque was behind the wheel of the #22 ORECA 07-Gibson when he and Gabriel, driving the #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA 07-Gibson, came in to serve their pitstops together when Albuquerque slammed his car into the back of Aubry’s. The stewards investigated the incident and laid the blame with Albuquerque, handing him a five second penalty.

Di Resta has since taken the car over and served the penalty, dropping them down the order in LMP2. Anthony Davidson currently leads in the #38 JOTA ORECA, with Ho-Pin Tung second for Jackie Chan DC Racing. the #36 Signatech Alpine A470-Gibson is in third on an alternate strategy.

Out front, the #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid continues to lead by 30 seconds in the hands of Mike Conway, with Sebastien Buemi in second place in the #8 Toyota.

In GTE Pro, major drama has taken the #51 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo out of contention for the driver’s title. Just after the halfway mark, Daniel Serra made contact with the #56 Team Project 1 Porsche of Egidio Perfetti, causing a puncture.

The car then scattered debris all over the track and the car suffered significant damage, for which it spent time in the garage. The car is now back on track, but last overall and four laps down on the rest of the GTE pro field.

Kevin Estre leads the class in the #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19, ahead of team-mate Gianmaria Bruni in the #91 Porsche 911 RSR-19. Richard Westbrook is in third in the #97 Aston Martin Vantage AMR.

In GTE Am, the running order has changed since the halfway mark. Ben Barker leads the class for Gulf Racing in the #86 Porsche 911 RSR, with AF Corse’s Francesco Castellacci second in the #54 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo. Jonny Adam holds third in the #90 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage AMR. The British squad is currently on track to seal the GTE Am driver’s title.
