Mick Schumacher triumphed at Monza to become the tenth different winner in this year’s FIA Formula 2 Championship.

The German began the Feature Race from seventh on the grid following his off into the gravel during qualifying on Friday. He stormed his way up to second by Turn 1 at the start and found himself in the lead when pole-sitter Callum Ilott stalled his car in the pits during his mandatory tyre change.

Schumacher crossed the finish line three seconds ahead of home-hero Luca Ghiotto in second, who also got the two points for the fastest lap.

Christian Lundgaard returned to the podium in third in front of Yuki Tsunoda, Guanyu Zhou and Callum Ilott recovering to sixth.
