Emanuele Pirro will join the FIA stewards panel for the Malaysian and Chinese Grand Prix races, with the two taking place within the space of two weeks.
The Italian made his debut on the panel last year, at the season closing Abu Dhabi GP.
The 49-year-old has competed in Le Masa, winning four times, as well as contesting 40 grand prix races with Benetton and Scuderia Italia.
He was also McLaren’s test driver during the 1988 season.
