In his 13th attempt NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Larson finally won the Chili Bowl Nationals midget event at the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Okla., on Saturday night.

“I’m sorry NASCAR, I’m sorry Daytona, but this is the biggest [expletive] race I’ve ever won,” Larson said. “I hope to win Daytona in a few weeks, but this is bad ass.”

Christopher Bell, a 2020 Cup Series rookie, finished second in his attempt to win a record-matching fourth-straight Chili Bowl. Bell started second in the 55-lap race but took the lead on the opening lap. Larson took his race winning-lead by passing Bell on a lap-39 restart.

Cannon McIntosh and Logan Seavey finished third and fourth, respectively. Former NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series driver Rico Abreau rounded out the top-five after driving up to as high as the second position late in the race.
