Michael Schumacher set the time to beat in Jerez during day two of testing at the Spanish circuit.

The Mercedes driver set a lap of 1:20.352 leaving him top come the end of the session.

Ferrari’s Felipe Massa was demoted one place from his fastest time on day one, ending the session second, just a few thousandths behind the German and three tenths quicker than his day one best.

Jenson Button got his first laps in the MP4-26, placing third – his best time coming late in the afternoon. It was a similar story for Jaime Alguersuari. The Toro Rosso driver managed to outpace the sister team of Red Bull.
