Factory Ducati rider Marc Marquez crafted together the fastest lap as he topped the second MotoGP practice around the Sachsenring circuit.

The Spaniard posted a 1.19.394s, a time that put him almost two tenths clear of the rest of the field.

Trackhouse rider Raul Fernandez topped the timesheets in the first session before securing second place to end his Friday.

VR46 Ducati Fabio Di Giannantonio secured third place, followed by Gresini’s Alex Marquez and surprise package Jack Miller.

Ai Ogura secured sixth place, followed closely by the factory Aprilia duo of Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin.

KTM rider Pedro Acosta secured ninth, while Franco Morbidelli ensured the final Q2 spot with tenth place.

Enea Bastianini and Brad Binder narrowly missed out by half a tenth, followed by two-time champion Francesco Bagnaia.

Honda rider Luca Marini finished as the reference rider for the Japanese marque, ahead of top Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo and his own team-mate Joan Mir.

Diogo Moreira secured 17th, ahead of Tech3 rider Maverick Vinales, Yamaha duo Toprak Razgatlioglu and Alex Rins.

LCR Honda rider Cal Crutchlow continued to stand in for Johann Zarco, lapping only one tenth off Rins in last place.
