Go FAS Racing will enter into a technical alliance with Stewart-Haas Racing for the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season. Through the deal, Go FAS will receive chassis, data and technical support from SHR.
“This arrangement will allow Go FAS Racing to improve its performance in 2020 and position itself for future growth,” Stewart-Haas Racing Vice President of Competition Greg Zipadelli said.
According to a press release from Go FAS Racing, driver negotiations are underway but no specifics regarding who'll drive the #32 Go FAS Ford in 2020 were revealed. Corey LaJoie is in his first year as driver of the #32 this year, but Stewart-Haas Racing is, reportedly, looking for a Cup Series ride for Cole Custer, one of its drivers in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Go FAS Racing has been a full-time competitor in the Cup Series since 2014. Prio to LaJoie, Matt DiBenedetto drove the #32 for two seasons. In 203 races as a Cup Series team owner, Go FAS Racing owner Archi St. Hilaire has five top-10 finishes, including a best finish of sixth at Daytona International Speedway with LaJoie in July 2019.

Stewart-Haas Racing has two Cup Series championships — 2011 with owner/driver Tony Stewart and 2014 with Kevin Harvick. Harvick still drives for SHR, along with Aric Almirola, Clint Bowyer and Daniel Suarez. Harvick, Almirola and Bowyer made the 2019 playoffs. Harvick is among the eight drivers still remaining in the playoffs with three races remaining. He has three wins through the first 33 races of the season.
