Plato Racing’s Adam Morgan is ‘fully focused’ on hunting for his team’s first British Touring Car Championship podium, as the field heads to Oulton Park.
2026 has been steady for Morgan so far, with points scored in all-but-one of his outings.
The results so far see him P9 in the Drivers’ Championship, while Plato sit P6 in the team charts.
Despite the strong results, the Mercedes man is yet to claim a podium. Snetterton provided the best opportunities, with Morgan notching P5 and P6 in the second and third races.
“I’m fully focused on getting a podium this weekend,” Morgan told BTCC media.
“We were in the mix for one at Snetterton but the cards sadly didn’t fall our way, so naturally I’m eager to right that wrong.”

Morgan hoping for happy homecoming at Oulton Park
Morgan’s Lancastrian roots see the 2.26-mile circuit marked as his home, while Plato Racing’s base is no large journey away as well.
The technical Island circuit that exhibits the BTCC circus is one that could prove favourable to the team in purple, especially with both drivers having plenty of TOCA Turbo Boost available.
However, progress is still the aim of the game for the squad, and Morgan is sure to reiterate that despite his praise for the track.
“As a circuit, Oulton Park is one of the best that we visit and it’s somewhere I’ve always enjoyed driving, not least because it’s not too far from home.
“Every time we get in this car we’re improving things so I’m excited to see what we can achieve before the real work starts during the break.”
