The 4 Hours of Silverstone has started with a safety car after the #22 United Autosport ORECA 07-Gibson came to a halt on track on the pit straight.

With the field now behind the safety car, the two Toyotas saw an early lead over the two Rebellions disappear. The #7, in the hands of Mike Conway, currently leads the #8 of Sebastien Buemi ahead of Rebellion's Bruno Senna and Loic Duval.

The pair of Ginettas suffered a poor getaway. The #6 of Mike Simpson currently sits fifth overall, while Charlie Robertson finds himself stuck behind the LMP2 leaders.

Racing Team Nederland retained their lead from the start of the race, with Giedo van der Garde's bright yellow #29 ORECA leading the way. The ex-F1 driver currently has the Ginetta of Robertson between him and Gabriel Aubry. The Frenchman is second in class in the #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing entry, with Antonin Borga third in the #42 Cool Racing entry.
