Alfa Romeo test driver Tatiana Calderon and development driver Juan Manuel Correa will get behind the wheel of Formula 1 machinery in France later this week.

Calderon joined Alfa Romeo, under its Sauber guise, last year while Correa linked up with the operation for 2019 as its development driver.

Both currently compete in Formula 2, with Calderon racing for BWT Arden and Correa for Sauber Junior Team by Charouz, with the American having taken two podiums in his rookie campaign.

The test will take place at French Grand Prix venue Paul Ricard, with Calderon in action in the 2013-spec C32 on Friday, before Correa takes over on Saturday.

Calderon carried out two test runs for Sauber in 2018 while this Saturday's outing will be the first in Formula 1 machinery for Correa.

“Our team has a proud history of nurturing young talent and we take this part of our mission very seriously,” said team boss Frederic Vasseur.

“Both Juan Manuel and Tatiana have proven to be valuable members of our team, working with us at the factory and trackside, and this opportunity in the car will help them progress even further in their understanding of Formula 1 and in building their relationship with the engineers and crew.”
