The FIA has announced that there will be no Equivalence of Technology (EoT) adjustments at the 4 Hours of Silverstone, the season opener of the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship, with the cars remaining at their performance levels from the Barcelona Prologue.

A technical bulletin issued by the FIA issued earlier this week confirms that both Toyota’s TS050 Hybrid and non-hybrid Rebellion and Ginetta cars will race with the same weight and power levels from the pre-season test at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The maximum amount of fuel per stint and maximum refueling rig restrictor diameters for the non-hybrids have been declared, with the Rebellion and Ginettas getting a slightly faster refueling time to match the Toyotas.

The Rebellion R13 Gibson, which is naturally aspirated, will have a 26.1 mm refueling rig restrictor, while their turbocharged rivals at Ginetta will have a 25.25 mm restrictor for the G60-LT-P1 – AER.

For comparison, last year’s restrictors sat at 24.75 mm and 24.2 mm respectively. Toyota’s restrictors remain unchanged at 20.40 mm.

It compares to 24.75 mm (normally aspirated) and 24.2 mm (turbocharged) sized fuel rig restrictors used last year at Silverstone, with the Toyota’s unchanged at 20.40 mm.

The newly announced Success Ballast will not come into play until the second round of the season at Fuji. However, the new EoT will mean that the Toyotas will run 40 kilograms heavier at Silverstone than it did last year, while the Rebellion runs 6 kilograms lighter.
