Dreyer and Reinbold Racing has announced that Conor Daly will drive for the team for the upcoming 110th Indianapolis 500.
DRR is a team that focuses its efforts on a single race every year, choosing to put all its resources into a competitive Indy 500 run rather than a full season campaign.
That operational plan continues this season with the announcement that Daly will pilot the #23 entry in late May.
“Dreyer & Reinbold Racing is thrilled to announce our partnership with Kingspan on the No. 23 DRR Chevrolet, piloted by Conor Daly for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500,” read DRR’s statement. “We are so excited to have Conor at the helm for us again.”
Daly had teased in recent weeks that he had an announcement planned, but declined to confirm what that might be.
Wednesday’s news confirms the 34-year-old will contest his 13th Indy 500 in just over two months’ time.
Reunited with DRR
Daly drove for DRR once before in 2024, piloting the #24 entry to a 10th place finish.
The Noblesville, IN native started 29th in that event, but moved forward quickly and led 22 laps on his way to what was at the time his fourth top 10 finish at the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
Daly raced with Juncos Hollinger Racing full time in 2025, which included an eighth place finish in the Indy 500 and extended his streak of top 10 finishes even further.
He has been without a ride for the 2026 season, leaving him available to re-join DRR in a single-race campaign.
“Having a chance to go racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway again at Indy 500 with DRR means the world to me,” Daly said.
“I love this event. I can’t wait to get back in the car, and I appreciate the chance that Dennis [Reinbold] and everyone at Dreyer & Reinbold Racing has given me to do the job I enjoy.
“We’ve set some high goals with the No. 23. We want to win this race together, and I appreciate that Kingspan has come on board for the biggest race in the world. We appreciate their support for this effort to chase after that nice cold glass of milk in the winner’s circle.”
The 110th running of the Indianapolis 500 takes place on May 24, with the two weeks leading up to the event filled with practice and qualifying sessions.
DRR will run a second entry with Jack Harvey as well, which was previously announced.
